Maybe yes, maybe no

Are you one of these people who cannot make up their minds?

If not then maybe you know some who are indecisive.

Just an idea for today.

Indecision and insecurity come from several sources one of which is not knowing yourself.

If you are clear about yourself then decision making is easier.

So start learning about yourself.

We are all responsible for ourselves so time to take responsibility for yourself.

Be clear today about what you are doing.

Notice your choices, check that you truly want whatever it is.

Build an inventory of yourself.

What you like, what you do not like.

Be honest is it habit or because you truly like it?

Get rid of those where it is habit.

Hold only those you truly like.

This is just step one of learning to know yourself.

Having said that it will still take some time.

So do not give up.

The rewards of being clearer with yourself are worth it.

Role model - Male

The idea of Stallone, Willis, Schwartzenneger and other macho types as heroes or role models seems like a throwback to another era.

What woman in her right mind would want a psychopathic killer as a friend, let alone partner.

Yet this is what Hollywood keeps giving us.

However it does raise an interesting question, is there such a thing today as a male role model?

Most men presented for this position are one or two dimensional types and surely fail when we go beyond the media hype.

Can it be that we are tired of the current values and the rubbish thrown up?

Let us look in different places then maybe we can find some more interesting males.

Who knows we might even find a role model.

Or then again maybe we have had enough of the illusion of perfection.

Better no more role models.

Politics and war

Politicians on both sides argue about how right they are.

Both justify their actions.

Both blame the other.

Like children arguing.

Unfortunately for the world and the victims their arguing matters.

It is hard to get them to listen.

Seldom in any modern conflict do the majority want anything other than peace.

Only the arms manufacturers and fanatics win.

Not true.

Slowly but surely the public disgust with politics is making other voices heard.

Something is moving, something is shifting opinion.

That something is our disgust.

Our desire that this insanity stop.

Do you have an opinion?

Do you voice your views?

Hold clearly to what you think.

Thoughts help, they lead to actions.

And still we do not want to hear or believe.

The relationship is over.

Our friends all see.

The signs tell us.

Things do not compute.

Until it is our time we go on denying the evidence.

Day after day ignoring reality.

Why do we do this?

Crudely put we do not want to remove our projections.

We want to stay in our illusions.

To guard our fabrications to the end.

And then?

Emptiness, until we build another.

There is another way.

Live in reality.

See things as they are, not as you want them to be.

Less disappointment, more relaxation, less stress.

We said it before and it's still true.

Reality is easier than all the projections we insist on fabricating.

In the days of Moses

It is thoroughly understood and proven, as shown by Nachmanides, that the initial sentence in Genesis was made to read;

"In the head-source developed the Gods, the heavens and the earth"

Whereas it is now transformed into -

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"

Which, has lead to our confused misunderstandings today.

Being right

Being right is often the defense mechanism of people who have complexes.

Being right is often wrong for the simple reason that the one being right is judgemental from his or her perspective only.

We all have perspectives so being right is a relative thing at best.

However it does give the judgemental party the illusion that all is well, because he is right..........as he sees it.

Question?

How many people do you know who need to be right?

Tread carefully with them because being right is often one step away from action to censure or attack those who are not right in their eyes.

Step aside, let them be.

It is not funny spending time with righteous people.

Move on, find friendship with those who are not judgemental.

Conclusions

As far as your private conclusions are concerned, use your discrimination always.

Do not adopt any conclusions merely because they are uttered by one in whom you have confidence.

Only adopt them when they coincide with your intuition.

To be even unconsciously deluded by the influence of another is to have a counterfeit faith.

The evidence is in front of us global warming is real.

So why fly down South where it is getting ever hotter?

Do not wait to be told, adjust your thinking.

Better go to a cooler place.

Who needs over priced, over crowded beaches in the South?

Go North, go to the hills.

Change your habits don't wait to be told.

Act upon the evidence of our times.

Life is no longer as it was, notice this.

Make new decisions based on new realities.

Environment - by request

If you have not noticed things are hotting up in all senses of that word.

We are close or at what is called the "tipping point" for many things

The Amazon rain forest, shown above - continued tree felling - changing local climate

The Mekong delta - misuse and abuse

The Gulf stream - slowing down - reduced salinity

Disappearance of species, everywhere from ocean to mountain to your country

Yes even where you live, your town your street.

Your own quality of life even.

This blog will urge that we all do our individual bit to slow this process.

Why?

Because it is the right thing to do, and also allows us to psychologically feel OK with ourselves.

More than this though is how you see life.

Why?

Because if you see life as a one off random experience then does it really matter?

Stay selfish consume all you want behave like it is nothing to do with you.

If you have been telling yourself that life is a one off experience in a meaningless universe then how come something keeps nagging at you?

Stop being lazy, look into these things for yourself.

Do not blindly accept what your parents or priests told you, find out for yourself.

If however you believe in reincarnation then yes it matters.

So the environment is not just under attack it is how we see our lives.

It really is how we see our lives and why we think we are here

This is a very old axiom.

Knowledge - the first step to which is the power of comprehending the truth.

Of discerning the real from the false.

Of such there are very few.
