Real success

The formula for success in our society is a formula for disaster.

Does anyone really disagree?

Not only on a collective level but individually too

Surrendering our real life purpose to the demands of a materialistic nightmare
.
A nightmare that pretends to offer comfort and security
.
While in reality keeping everyone under pressure and stress
.
Running, running all day long chasing the illusion
.
Leaving us lonely and sick
.
Sick swallowing endless pills and potions
.
If we are lucky sharing with someone who cares
.
Too often frozen in relationships as well
.
Then one day finding ourselves looking back on years wasted in pursuit of a mirage.

And yet and yet those years need not be entirely wasted

Not if we learn from them and see what we were really chasing

Not if through our pain we can find true meaning

What were we looking for?

Love

Unconditional love
.
Heard that so many times before, and yet have you taken on board how to find this?

Love is approached by seeing clearly that not much else matters very much

Giving our love is a major investment of our time and effort
.
An investment unlike any other because it answers something inside us
.
It resonates with our higher being
.
It brings a feeling of satisfaction unlike anything else

It allows us to feel useful
.
To feel fulfilled
.
That our time has meaning
.
Real meaning
.
And that is something that none of the baubles can offer
.
Toys and games, money and power
.
At the end of the day what do you have?

Another sad old man dying of cancer

Too hard?

Not really
