Take away lives

From food to entertainment we buy and pay money for everything.

Our lives are take away lives provided by whoever we pay to provide us.

Is this what you want?

Have you even noticed?

Packaged, pre-formed, instant, hyped, distilled, corrupted, simplistic, usually empty and instantly forgetable.

It is not the things in our life it is the journey that counts.

Notice your journey this is the reality of life.

Destinations, things are just temporary stops along the way.

Live the journey!

Flavour

Is there flavour in your life?

Do you smell the roses, notice perfume do you smell anything?

Do you really taste food or do you just shovel it down?

Do you listen to what people say or is your mind elsewhere?

Did you laugh today?

Are you smiling now as you read this?

Where are your thoughts?

Put some flavour back into your life.

Pay more attention to what you do.

Be conscious of every moment, savour every moment.

Live this day to the max!

Marijuana, coke and the rest

Most of us have tried or used some recreational drugs.

Many still do.

Caution though, all drugs have a price beyond the financial or medical.

We are not talking about addiction that's another story.

The hidden cost lies in lost reality time, which can never be recaptured.

Here our interest is in how to move beyond recreational use into that other reality experienced without need of drugs.

As we move through life so our tastes change.

However we do not move beyond things we like unless we find something else to replace them.

Feeling good 24/7 is a neat starting point, no recovery periods, no negative downside anymore.

Another is to embrace life differently, shifting your values.

Finding relaxation in peace and quiet.

Being aware of oneself in new ways, exploring our inner potential.

Allowing ourselves to be open to new experiences.

Let yourself move along it's a natural thing.

Freedom

Freedom is but a cunning synonym for oppression of the people in the name of the people.

Freedom today is a myth when all of us have no choice but to accept continual surveillance and the monitoring of our lives.

Is this true and does it matter?

Yes and yes.

On one level you can fight for freedom through some NGO, movement or alternatively accept things as they evolve and keep your head down.

The latter is probably the choice of most as many people do not want to be involved, even though they are.

Wait though is this what freedom really is?

Turn for a moment to what can be yours beyond any state control.

Simple physical freedom is possible inside our bodies to the degree to which we understand what it needs and what we consume.

Take the freedom to be healthy, learn what your body needs and act upon this information.

Your mind likewise is open for you to heal and again the only deterrent is your efforts to understand what makes it healthy.

The last one is less familiar but is the greatest freedom of all, our souls are not easy to access and so are less accessible to ourselves or outsiders, however once you have made contact then you can indeed enjoy a freedom unknown to most.

To create a relationship with your soul is what all the teachers throughout history have been on about and is sadly the least understood.

This is the only freedom that no one can touch, unless of course you let them.

Guard this freedom and learn why it is the most important.

It must always be you that makes the effort others can only act as catalysts.

True freedom is your own choice.

Mmmmm - 16

Power belongs to him who knows.

This is a very old axiom.

Knowledge the first step to which is the power of comprehending the truth, of discerning the real from the false -

-is for those only who, having freed themselves from every prejudice and conquered their human conceit and selfishness are ready to accept every and any truth, once it is demonstrated to them.

Of such there are very few.

10 to 5

In the sixties one could count on a 10 thing day with ease.
10 thing means doing ten different things in the day with no real pressure.
Today doing 5 things a day will be a stretch.

What does this mean?

Simply that life is going faster in terms of how we experience it.

Notice the truth of this.

Memory no longer holds pictures of events passed.
Yesterday feels far away.
The week flashes by.
It takes ever more effort to remember.

We don't have time.

Everything takes so much time.

Our circle of friends is smaller, we do not make the effort to keep in touch with those on the edge of our world.

We have less in common with each other unless we are directly in each others life.

We drop those things that do not fit in exactly with our needs.

There are so many inputs in our life today that unconsciouslessly we are eliminating those that are unnecessary or do not feed us with what we need to function.

And tomorrow?

Breakdown, divorce, health problems are all more likely as we find our modern experience ever more demanding.

Is this it?

No you can make choices which allow a softer more loving life however this is the starting point to be aware of what is going on.

Do not become a running, jumping automaton take back your humanity.

Live life with love.

Birthdays

Did you know that at the exact time of your birth delivery you will experience the one single strongest heart palpitation of your year and this will continue on every birthday of your life?

That for two weeks before and two weeks after your emotions will be unstable.

That your life runs in cycles and that your birthday is the start and end of these personal cycles.
That children will often be ill on their birthdays.

Cakes and cards are all recent ideas.

Presents and parties are old ideas.

Enjoy your birthdays!

Guilt

Why do we get guilty feelings?

Why do so many find it difficult to relax?

Why do so many have the feeling that they ought to be doing this that or the other?

Stop it and let go of your guilt trip.

Realise that you are just feeding the machine.

In the West we have been programmed from an early age to feel guilty.

There is no original sin just the game of Christian churches.

No loving God ever set up the madness of modern religious teachings.

Step out, enjoy life without guilt.

Realise that if you do your best every day that is all that you can do.

Nature asks no more of us.

Put guilt away it's just your mind playing games.

Learn to let go of guilt.

Wanting

What do you want from me?

What do you want from anyone?

Wanting is not so neat as it results in frustration and disappointment, and usually more disappointment after a short time even if you do get whatever it was you wanted.

In fact the universe will give "wanters" wanting if you get what I mean.

Try another approach never want anything.

Be happy with what you have.

Where you lack something just decide to move in that direction.

If it comes to you then fine if not then also fine.

Waste no energy on disappointment and struggle.

Move smoothly through life happy with whatever you have.

Live effortlessly, no more wanting.

Every sense pervades every other, there being really
only one sense acting through different organs of sensation.

All senses are but differentiations of the one sense-consciousness.

Hence we can feel colours and we can see sounds.

There is no general order.

That sense which is most developed being the first for that person.

Good guy bad guy

The truth be known this is most of us.

We all have a good side and are happy when in that state.

The other side however is a different story.

We would call this state one where your entities dominate.

Made easy let's just say it's that "other you".

If the other you is very strong then we say the person is possessed.

When in that state help is difficult because so few truly know how to help.

Today we just fill people with pills to keep the demons at bay.

Most people have only spells of temper, out of control anger, depression or entity domination.

Lessening these further is important if you want to hold on to sanity, life, wife and job.

Modern society caters to this need by offering every imaginable outlet from violent to passive.

Sadly most only obscure.

They do not get to causes.

Without getting to causes the demons keep coming back.

The causes are reachable.

Learning control helps and this is more easily achieved once we identify those causes.

So start looking for those causes.

Hint they are your hidden fears.

Virtual vs illusion

At the moment it seems fashionable to call everything virtual, virtual reality, virtual business, virtual lives and so on.

Echos of Buddhism maybe where Buddhists and Hindus have said for thousands of years that all is illusion.

Or is it confusion?

Virtual and illusion what is the difference between the two?

Virtual is a painstaking collection of man made environments, where with the aid of computer technology one can pass time either alone or collectively for pleasure or work.

Illusion in the Buddhist sense is a world that is not as it seems to our senses, it is one of depth and subtlety, our world.

The virtual world is the creation of human minds.

Our world of illusion is the creation of man's limited understanding of nature.

The virtual world can lead to addiction and eye strain while understanding the world of illusion can lead to peace of mind.

It does not have to be either or, add understanding of both for a healthier life.

Try to go beyond illusion and treat virtual with care.

The Bible

The whole of the New Testament is an allegorical representation of the Cycle of Initiation, i.e., the natural birth of man in sin or flesh, and of his second or spiritual birth as an Initiate followed by his resurrection after three days of trance.

– A mode of purification – during which time his human body or astral was in Hades or hell, which is the earth, and his divine ego in heaven or the realm of truth.

The New Testament describes unselfish white or divine *magic.

The Old Testament gives the description of black, or selfish magic.

The latter is psych ism, the former all spirituality.

G.R.S. Mead

*Magic is an old Persian term meaning knowledge

More on thoughts

Thoughts come along all day long.

They come out of nowhere and then they go back to nowhere.

Thoughts are not personal.

Thoughts if met with questions can be interesting.

Thoughts met without question can lead to big problems.

They can assume an illusory validity.

They can come to dominate you and distort your thinking.

Do not believe your thoughts without checking the truth in them.

Happiness

"Those only are happy who have their minds fixed on some object other than their own happiness.

On the happiness of others, on the improvement of mankind, even on some art or pursuit.

Followed not as a means, but as itself an ideal end.

Aiming thus at something else, they find happiness by the way".

So says John Stuart Mills and we would agree that happiness cannot be ordained nor can it be commanded.

Indeed it might be best to add that living in the present moment coupled to his ideas offers the best chance of arriving at happiness.

Happiness after all is an emotion and does not take kindly to being commanded.

Approach happiness from a tangent.

Mmmmm - 14

The fact is that the human brain is simply the canal between two planes

– the psycho spiritual and the material –

through which every abstract and metaphysical idea filters from the Manasic down to the lower human consciousness.

Therefore the ideas about the infinite and the absolute are, not nor can they be, within our brain capacities.

They can be faithfully mirrored only by our Spiritual consciousness, then to be more or less faintly projected onto the tables of our perceptions on this plane.

Thus while the records of even important events are often obliterated from our memories, not the smallest action of our lives can disappear from the “Souls” memory, because it is no memory for it, but an ever present reality on the plane which lies outside our conceptions of space and time.

Mirror mirror can it be true?

When you meet people who behave in a way that you do not like can you accept that this is a lesson for you?

Hard to imagine maybe but everyone is in a very real sense a lesson for us.

It’s you coming back at yourself.

Nature or Karma arranges that we all receive back what we sow.

Try to let go of the anger or irritation and ask yourself what does this have to do with me?

Is it true do I behave like this too, do I, have I ever ?

What can I learn from this experience?

Try not be defensive check it out!

Old people

You see them sitting on benches.
You see them in supermarkets.
You see them on buses.
You see them in parks.
They fill the hospitals.

They all but disappear in winter.

In summer you see more of them.

In our modern world we have pushed them to the margins.

We do not want to be reminded by them, that we too one day will be old.

Yes, one day it will be your turn.

What will you be thinking while you sit on that bench?

Will you have peace of mind?

Love to me

A feeling of being at one with everything.

Nature saying hallo, a feeling of identity with nature.

Light more intense, colours brighter.

Birds louder, their songs heard and appreciated.

Excitement, thrill of increased awareness.

A real pleasure in being, no tiredness, no irritation, no doubts, no worrying, no nothing intrudes.

Peace and harmony in yourself.

Hindu belief

It is a widely held belief among Hindus that a person’s future pre-natal state and birth are molded by the last desire he may have at the time of death.

But this last desire, they say, necessarily hinges on to the shape, which the person may have given to his desires, passions, etc during his past life.

Hindus are not alone in the belief that the last thought is critical.

So watch it when you die that last thought might be your most important!

Money

How about this?

You do not need more money than you have,
because you are living now in this very moment with whatever amount of money you have.

No more, no less.

Once you realize that life moves on whatever money you have, you can also realize that you already have all the security you hoped that money would give you.

Money can be the bane of our lives until we realize that life moves on with or without it.

Justice

Recent scientific thinking says that we are hard wired for justice and survival.

Meaning that we need justice as a method of sustaining relationships with others, which is necessary for survival in our modern world.

Relationships are the locomotives of human affairs.

Justice is our means of checking that others are being fair with us.

Justice not based on truth is unsustainable over time.

This is one reason why we are so twitchy today.

Justice is under attack as never before by so many greedy groups.

Today we are more conscious and aware of the games the greedy play.

Justice is often deliberately confused with economic gain.

Intuitively we do not like injustice.

Will we find a way to promote and sustain justice?

Who knows?

Please ensure that there is justice in your own life and relationships.

Clutter

Clutter is a huuge problem for modern man.

Every waking moment is filled with noise, images and clutter.

Ever wondered what it does to you?

It forces you to use energy to resist and deflect this non-stop barrage.

Over time this leads to breakdown.

Crippled humans liter the modern landscape.

However we are trained to ignore these casualties.

If you do not want to become one yourself then cut the clutter in your life.

Bring quietness into your life.

As always it's your choice!

Memory in the dying

“At the last moment before death, the whole life is reflected in our memory and emerges from all the forgotten nooks and corners picture after picture, one event after the other.

The dying brain dislodges memory with a strong supreme impulse, and memory restores faithfully every impression entrusted to it during the period of the brain’s activity.

That impression and thought which was the strongest naturally becomes the most vivid and survives so to say all the rest, which now vanish and disappear for ever, to reappear only in Devachan.

No man dies insane or unconscious – as some physiologists assert.

Even a madman, or one in a fit of delirium tremens will have his instant of perfect lucidity at the moment of death, though unable to say so to those present. The man may often appear dead.

Yet from the last pulsation, from and between the last throbbing of his heart and the moment when the last spark of animal heat leaves the body – the brain thinks and the Ego lives over in those few brief seconds – his whole life again.

Memory in the dying - 2

After the death of the emotional body there is a second life review which is again conducted in reverse order, from when you die back to when you were born.

This review brings up all kinds of emotional involvement with the most powerful of our life events.

Where we have caused pain, suffering, hardship or any other negative experience to another we then experience this pain doubly ourselves.

This review is the basis for many popular ideas about hell and other judgment stories.

However the truth is that we ourselves are our own judges.

This experience excludes any karmic affects that you bring upon yourself, which must then be settled in full in future lives.
