We are our own parents

Difficult to believe but truer than we imagine

Here's how

Over hundreds of millions of years humanity has been evolving

Yes many hundreds of millions but let's not go into this here
Modern humans with sexual reproductive procreation around eighteen million years

This evolution continued to the point where humanity evolved a body of mind

Which in turn produced in us a self-reflective consciousness

The power to reason to look back and forward

To be responsible for our thoughts and actions

At this point karma became operative for humanity on an individual basis

Karma is the source or original rule of the universe

The oldest and boss rule of all

Karma simply stated says what we do and think has cause and effect

Put another way what goes round comes round with both thought and actions

So turning to us being our own parents

If what we think and do has consequences then our thoughts and actions now create what we will be in the future

What we are today is what our thoughts and actions created from an earlier time

So in a very real sense we are our own parents

Our mothers provide the workshop where we create ourselves

We provide our own characteristics based upon our accumulated attributes and needs for each new life

Our personalities start evolving each life from the time spent in our mother's wombs.

Our experiences, friends, families and relationships are all a function of our own creation

Our future is created by our thoughts and actions today

Meaning that in a very real sense you are your own parent

Shock horror!

And all the other sensational headlines

Every single day

Without fail a sensational headline

Usually with a less than exciting story line attached

When will they get bored?

All trying to outdo each other

The tabloid press that is

Stop and think how many bright, caring, sensitive, morally upright people work for these newspapers?

If the boss is a workaholic, driven, amoral, cynical, bore then the chances are that he will feel comfortable with and hire people like himself

Guess what that does over time to an organisation

A hierarchy full of workaholic, driven, amoral, cynical bores

Yes corporations do have character

Yes they do reflect the ethos of the .

Guess what the output of such types produce
Yes you've got it

Shock horror headlines day after day!

Must do mode

Produces tension, pressure, undue focus, and seriousness amongst other effects.

Letting go of the must do mode of consciousness fixation is powerful.
The must do mode tells us we have to do the washing, call someone, run an errand, respond to an email to finally do some put off task

These are things that we finally, inevitably, unavoidably have to do.

However when we go into this must do mode things get tight, our minds move like automatons from one thing to another.

Have to get them done.

See nothing except the task at hand.

Have to get this done.

Only when something snaps you out of this state do you realise that you have been in it.

Stuck, deaf and blind to everything around you except the task at hand.

So how do we get out of this?

Pause, stop every so often walk around notice things around you..

Begin to be more conscious as to how you feel when you are doing things.

Is there tension or pressure?

If yes then this is a sure sign of being in the must do mode.

Do not try to stop it as this will most likely become worse
Observe when you are in it, be more conscious when you are under tension.

The more you notice it the more it will dissolve and go away.

Lighten up, be less serious
Learn to control your must do mode.

Take pleasure from these must do items and they become lighter less threatening
You can even begin to observe how you actually create the pressure by putting them off until they become must do items

Decide to organise your life to include doing must do items as they arise

Do not put them off.

Burma and the rest

And the rest

So many countries ruled by thugs who only understand repression

At some point the people have to find a way

Outsiders might help but more usually than not change starts inside

In Burma there is no higher moral group than the Buddhist monks

Even the army thugs who run Burma have to think twice before murdering monks

They probably will though and then it comes down to the people

Will they find a way to help?

Will the army rank and file side with the monks?

Will China influence events?

So many imponderables only time will show

And us what can we do?

Be conscious

If you meditate then do so for them too

Be clear to anyone who asks that yes you do care

Our politicians will move as their people do

And Darfur?

Sad world but at least things are opening up a bit with the internet and mobile phones
Next we need more courage and honesty from the world's politicians
Exposure slowly exposes the real interests of the various groups
Who is buying Burma's resources?
Here lies the real leverage
Will China act?

Where we are

Can matter or then again it does not have to

The difference is how we are not where we are

How we feel inside

How we are with life

How we relate to the outside world is a function of how we relate to ourselves

If we like ourselves then usually the outside world wherever we are is fine too

If we are unhappy then the outside world can be pretty miserable too

Simple observation

However as you live each day one by one how you experience them is critical to your well being

Feeling on top of your game makes life a fantastic experience

Being filled with fear or stress is pretty miserable

Where are you then?

Try to move into a space where life is fine and not just endless pressure

Money or the lack of it can be part of the difficulty

More important is how you see everything

How you feel wherever you are

Noticing beauty

Not the garbage

What do you see day to day?
Where are you?

Special energy

There are places where we all feel good

Others where we feel bad

The difference?

The energy

By energy we mean the memories and impulses in that place

Every inch of our planet has memories imprinted upon it

And if we were able to read it this record has been there since the beginning of our planet

Others places have special impulses put on them by those able to do this

Others through promotion and hype have become famous

In individual homes or spaces the same can be felt

Homes where one immediately feels good

Some though are not so nice

Check your spaces and see what they tell you

If you cannot do this then ask others to tell you how they find the space

Might surprise you

The energy in your space has an impact on how you feel

So worth checking that your spaces are filled with pleasant energy

Why is English so hard to learn?

1) The bandage was wound around the wound.

2) The farm was used to produce produce.

3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.

4) We must polish the Polish furniture.

5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.

6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.

7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was timeto present the present

8) I did not object to the object.

9) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.

10) They were too close to the door to close it.

11) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.

12) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

13) I shed my clothes in the shed.

Let's face it - English can be a ridiculous language.
We take English forgranted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can workslowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea noris it a pig.
There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in a hamburger; neither apple nor pinein a pineapple.
English muffins weren't invented in England, nor French fries in France.Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.
And why is it that bakers bake, but grocers don't groce?
If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught?
If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?
If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of Booth - beeth? One goose, 2 geese...
So one moose, 2 meese?
One index, 2 indices?
Sometimes we think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylumfor the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play andplay at a recital?
We ship by truck and send cargo by ship?
Have noses that run and feet thatsmell?
How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and awise guy are opposites?
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which Your housecan burn up as it burns down, in which you ' fill in ' a form by 'fillingit out' and in which an alarm goes off by going on.
English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects thecreativity of the human race (which, of course, isn't a race at all).
Thatis why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights areout, they are invisible.
And finally, how about when you want to shut down your computer you have tohit "START" button.

Look at this

I don't mind
I do mind

Ever thought that the first statement means beyond mind
It is beyond my mind

And the second statement is really in mind, I am using my mind to object

Mind is modern man's greatest asset and also increasingly his biggest liability

To stay in mind is limiting

To go beyond is mind is literally mind boggling
Most people have no idea that this is possible

But the gateway to man's evolution lies in going beyond mind
Into what we casually call mind boggling
Mind boggling is used casually every day by millions without for one minute thinking about what they are really saying
As so often with language it can hide and obscure
It can also illuminate
It can be so important but we treat it so casually
Seldom giving any real thought to what we are saying
Funny thing language.

Is a small island

A pretty island

One with the ongoing problems of being divided into Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot halves
Most people other than the politicians would like it reunited

This means it will not be until some unknown time in the future

Living on an island is always different

The psychology of an island is different from a land nation

Rather like isolated towns it is a good idea to get out once in a while to feel different energy

If you come from other places then note that islands can feel lonely places if you are on your own

Nowhere to drive except round and round, which even if it is a bigger island is still an island

Island people also tend to be conservative, their cultural values often being behind those of their fellow citizens from the mainland

Fortunately or not tourists bring different values to Cyprus

So does membership of the EU

The Greek Cypriot part of Cyprus to its surprise will find many unexpected changes arriving with its EU membership

Not all to its liking

Cyprus and other islands bring a different appreciation of the sea

A respect for the enormity of our planet's oceans and water

Take time to feel this for yourself

Visit Cyprus and feel it's energy

Cyprus, just a small island in an interesting neighbourhood

A different pace of life

It's people evolving divided yet to be one again one day maybe

Your friends

How many do you have?

Ten, twenty?

Friends that is

People who will be there for you when things go wrong

When you really need them

If you have one or two then that's pretty good

Interesting how many people say lots

Lots of friends

Does not happen

Aquaintances yes

Many of us have plenty of them

Friends no

They are special

Value those you have

They are the ones who will be there when you really need them.

are little creatures who for little understood reasons from time to time all follow each other into oblivion
Humans sometimes do this too

Although we do not like to think of ourselves as lemming like

Some of our behaviour today can be described as lemming like

Lying on beaches for hours and hours when we have been told of the dangers of doing so

Using mobile phones for long periods of time when again it is unlikely that passing an electrical current through our heads does much good

Eating large amounts of sugar, salt and other foods we know to be bad for us

And so it goes on

Why do we do this?

Could it be that we lazily do what others do until disaster arrives?

We can see this with smoking

Until not so many years ago this was cool, socially fine

Now most media condemn

Laws come in forbidding smoking

Many stop smoking, some carry on

Let see in a few years time how many smoke

The above are just the physical dangers

What about the mental ones?

The ones that we often accept without challenge

Like government knows best when so much evidence shows this to be nonsense

That life is getting better

That we should not trust each other

That life is only about material success

That swallowing pills is the way to solve health problems

That people from country x are bad and from country y are fine

Country x is fine and country y is evil

Our country is of course on the side of the angels

Slowly as more people travel most see the absurdity of so much talk

Globalisation of everything knows no borders so slowly but surely we have to cooperate

Slowly the divisions that have blighted mankind's progress are being brought into the open

Open yourself to others and their points of view

We do not have to be lemming like

Open your eyes

Virus found

Dreaded words as every computer user knows

What to do?

Fix it if you know how otherwise take it along to your local computer shop

Leave it for some time

Pay some money and take it home again

And in the time your machine is being fixed you get a sudden insight as to how you spend your time

Guess what over the last five years you have become, if not addicted, then at least more involved with the net and online activities

Nothing bad in this however a good time to note where your priorities have changed

Is this how you really want to allocate your time

Time that has changed for all of us over the last few years

Time that never seems enough

Time that should be so valuable because we have so little
So when your machine comes back again make sure you now back up all those things you meant to back up before your machine crashed

Yes really back things up now.

And your life how is that backed up?

Can you handle a crash in that too?

Because we all have one or two in our lives and they seldom come when we are ready.

Worth having a back up scenario in a human virus situation too
A Plan B if you prefer.

It just slipped out

That word or sentence that gets you into trouble

Where did it come from?

The moment it comes out you regret it

Two choices apologise or bluster your way through

Bluster is not really a very good option as the damage is already done
Denial is not easy either as the other party knows what you said
Sometimes it leads to further situations of difficulty as most of us know
Later we wonder why on earth did I say that?
Why didn't I keep my mouth shut?
Answer unless your thoughts are perfectly clean from time to time you will say silly or unfortunate things
The only solution is to stay focused and in control
However most of us will not
So learn to take responsibility even when you have no idea why you said it
Nor where it came from
Actually it was your entities
Now that's another story!

Links in the chain

Is what we are

We are our own parents in that our thoughts and actions shape our lives

What we are thinking and doing today determines how we will be in the days and years to come
And what we thought and did yesterday and in our previous lives determines what we experience now in this one
We all started off at roughly the same time many races ago
Millions and millions of years ago
Some of us advancing others repeating the same lessons over and over
This is why we find some things easy that we have never done or seen before
Some babies seem to know what it is all about others are totally clueless
We feel sometimes that we know each other when we have never met before
And if we are just links in the chain then imagine that all that you are now is the sum total of all that you have learnt over many many lives
When you look back at ages past you were there
When you think of the future you will be there
When you look at women you were one
When you look at men you were one
Good and bad all must be learnt
Just like life at the moment really
One day linking into another
New years follow each other just as seasons do
One thought into another
Sometimes learning at others not
Moving on
Sometimes blocked
We are our own links
In our own chain of lives.

Beyond Urumqi

At this moment in time there are six Russian adventurers lost in this remote area of China

Two are known to be dead the others have disappeared in an extremely hostile environment
They had no expectation of rescue when they set off to traverse a tough unexplored river by catamaran
They were well equipped and experienced
The river set amidst highly intimidating very deep canyons and gorges
The surrounding area remote from anywhere
High plateaus with only a few yaks alive on it
No human settlements for hundreds of miles
The search party of Chinese and specially trained Russians are still searching for them
The story having gripped the public the Russian government has sent in a large plane carrying helicopter and rescuers with appropriate equipment
Why do men do this?
Risk life to cross some hostile unexplored area of the globe
To put themselves at extreme risk
Mothers are left with memories of the sons they raised year after year
Gone never to return
For what?
It has always been this way
This urge to explore, to see over the hill
Men are inspired by the idea of being the first
Challenging themselves
Being in a team together
Going into the unknown
And the women in their lives can leave them or accept the situation
This has also always been the way it is
Maybe all there is to say is that some die that others may learn
That the death of some will happen so that we can move our knowledge forward
That mothers and partners will always grieve
That to some it is unacceptable
To others a restless urge
Should we not have the right to choose?
Should we have the right to endanger others?
Questions to which the answers change according to our consciousness
When one of us does something incredible then psychologically it gives us all a lift
Like the first man to climb Everest or stand on the Moon
Just maybe we need to remember that there are other ways to look at life
Not just seeking security
Living life to the max whatever the consequences
Maybe our understanding of life needs re-examining
Just maybe we value security too highly
Many questions

No simple answers
May the others be found alive

In how time is today

It used to be that the weekdays were forever and the weekends just flashed by

Now it seems the weekends are long and the weeks short

What is this?

Just that our experience of time is different

Time feels to go so fast that our ordered week just goes and goes with weeks flashing past and months sliding endlessly by

Weekends though this is where we pay most attention

Give value to time

Focus our energies

Enjoy the freedom

Feel pleasure to do what we want

How we want

When we want

This gives length to an otherwise short distance between work and weekend

Stretch your weekends through conscious appreciation of their value to you.

Enjoy weekends to the max

Creating the life you always wanted

Is not easy

We seem to have this idea that life should be fair

Should be this or that

Well karma dictates that often we must come through challenging times

Times that seem to pummel us

To push us down, make things so difficult
Endlessly test us
Yes that is how it really is
So if we can accept that this is how life really is then waste no more time complaining about how unfair it is
Move on and do just one thing to help create the life you always wanted
Do not look backwards
Do not look forward
Live in this moment now
This moment only
If you can do this then you will reduce a lot of the strain you experience
Because being in this moment now means not to worry about what happened
Not to worry about what might be
Just to smile and laugh at your good fortune in this moment
Just being in this moment is not easy
It sounds easy however as with so many easy sounding things it is not so
Well worth the effort though
Good luck, try it.

Anger again

and again

So many people feel anger at various aspects of their lives

Aspects they feel they cannot control

Feeling they must hide this anger

That they cannot let it out

Then finally out comes the frustration on their partners or friends over some trivial incident

Something totally unrelated

Bewildered partners or friends wonder what they have done to deserve such an outburst.

The violence being out of all proportion to the incident

Often once the explosion has happened they come back to normal behaviour

Until the next time that is

If this is your pattern then please look at your life

Find with honesty where you have intolerable pressure

Where you should change something

Then change it because of you do not then it is quite probable that you will damage something much more important to you

Because often when angry we attack those closest to us

Then we do great damage to the very one we care about

Mmmmm - 47

‘Inharmonious thoughts not only poison the air, but they also poison your very bloodstream, poison your body; and disease is the resultant.

What are inharmonious thoughts?

They are selfish thoughts, evil thoughts, mean thoughts, thoughts out of tune; and they arise in a heart which lacks love.

Perfect love in the human heart tends to build up a strong body, psychologically clean,

because the inside of you is psychologically and morally clean, harmonious in its workings, for in this case, the mind, the soul, the spirit –

the true man – are harmonious in their workings. ...

What we believe

Is different in different cultures

This was true for a long period of our history but is now becoming blurred

Blurred because of tv and the internet and other modern communications

Blurred because less and less oral traditions are surviving

So as we lose our myths and history does it matter?

Yes because living in a world with one history opens it to manipulation and abuse

This is already evident in the spin put on every modern event

Nothing is sacred everything is open to distortion

So what we believe is important as it forms the basis of any society
It guides our understanding
So take the time to understand the truth of things
Challenge nonsense stories
Be conscious of your own perceptions
What we believe creates our world

Which Yin and Yang?

They look the same however only one is correct

Which one is it?

Most of us have no idea which is right and which is wrong

The yin yang symbol came to Korea and China many thousands of years ago
Symbolising the dual concepts of yin and yang – or the single concept yin-yang – describe two primal opposing but complementary principles or cosmic forces said to be found in all non-static objects and processes in the universe.
This paradoxical concept is the cornerstone of Taoism and traditional Chinese medicine.
Yīn is passive, dark, feminine, representing matter.
Yáng is light, masculine representing spirit.
Yin is often symbolized by water and air, while yang is symbolized by fire and earth.
Yin (dark) and yang (light) are descriptions of complementary opposites rather than absolutes.
Any yin/yang dichotomy can be viewed from another perspective. All forces in nature can be seen as having yin and yang states, and the two are in constant movement rather than held in absolute stasis.
As with anything else from times past yin and yang have been used to express many things
Some accurate others not

So for your knowledge

Of all the yin yang symbols shown above the last one is the correct one

Because it shows the ideas expressed correctly

The earth or matter represented by the black segment is thrusting upwards

The white or spiritual one is reaching downwards

And in each is a speck of the other

If you use this symbol use the correct one

Now you know!

Heavy head

People are complaining about having head aches and feeling heavy headed

More than usual that is

This has been going on for many months now

It is not confined to any one geographical area

Question is this just you and me or do others feel the same?

Answer we cannot know as we do not have the resources to find out

Several factors could be involved such as change in axial tilt, slowing or reversing of the earth's magnetic field, solar energy increase and so on

Again hard to say if one or all of these have direct effects upon us

So what to do?

More than ever accept that change in many areas of our life is real

Learn to find the positive in things because without negative thoughts only exacerbate the situation

Pay attention to your life and what you do each day

Find time for yourself every day

Become more conscious that each day is precious

.Act as if it is.

Magic in the Christian Church

Ever thought that church rituals

Are the antitypes of occult ceremonies?

You cannot light a taper, or illuminate an altar with circles of wax lights without repeating the rites of magic

What is the modern altar with vertical burning candles, but the modern mimicry of the original magic monolith with the Baal fires upon it?

Don't you know that by doing so you are following right in the footsteps of the ancient fire worshippers, the Persian Heathen Ghebers

And the Pope's sparkling mitre, what is it but the direct descendant of the Mithraic Sacrifice, symbolical covering invented for the heads of the high priests of this very Occultism in Chaldaea.

Having passed through numerous transformations it now rests upon the venerable head of the successor of St Peter.

It is after all but the caricatured head-dress, the Amazon like helmet of Pallas Athene, the heaven goddess Minerva.

Indeed the Christian cross, which, in the most primitive symbol of Egyptian magic, represents the key to heaven
In fact there is scarcely a rite or ceremony of the Christian Church that does not descend from Occultism

Love is inside

It was also the first impulse of life in this solar system

But here on Planet Earth love is often lacking

Many have no direct experience of love
It is not part of their lives
Lives of scurrying through each day
Lives spent wishing for love

Wanting for it to come into their lives

It might but is unlikely until you understand that love is in you

It is not outside

It is in you

If you cannot open to love then it might be a long wait before it finds you

Check it out

What do you love?

Actively consciously
Effortlessly, spontaneously

If you do not love every day then time to ask yourself what is going on.

Oh and if your love is conditional then be advised this is not love
It is just a transaction

There is only ever truly unconditional love

The starting point is love for ourselves warts and all

Do you, can you love yourself?

Waste no time, look inside let go of those fears, no one is perfect and if they were they would not be here

Find love in yourself, for yourself
How can you love another if you cannot love yourself?.

Winter approaching in Northern climes

The light is different

The feeling a tad harder

Energy is harder

At the end of summer the leaves are a darker shade of green

The buildings often built more solidly

All show signs of hard wear and tear

The people appreciative of fine weather

As autumn approaches everyone goes into overdrive because they can smell the change coming

Those rainy ever colder days

Getting darker earlier quicker and quicker every week
Light later too
The wind now with edge

Fore taste of tougher shorter days to come

And longer nights

Days indoors

Time of TV and Internet

Drinking for many
No escape for most
Northern climes..

Job's worth

How often do you have to deal with muppets?

People who will not make any decision

Who hide in smiles

In feigned enthusiasm and interest

Pretending to care about the job at hand

Who pass any problem quickly on to others

Who in reality have no intention of doing anything that might expose themselves to risk

To responsibility

To exposure

To criticism

Welcome to the real world of business

Obsequious behaviour

How sad so many have to deal all day long with colleagues of this type

Only way is to smile and be persistent particularly when you have to make things happen

When performance and results are your responsibility

Ever wonder why so many people in business drink?

Sorry people muppets

Known as job's worth meaning "I would love to hep you but it is more than my job's worth" hence the expression job's worth or the more modern version muppet

Notice your own asymmetry

Yours eyes are different

The two sides of your face are asymmetric

As are the two sides of your body

And so it goes on

Then see what we call beauty in some cultures like America where symmetry is prized

While in others like France and Italy asymmetry is most prized

Most modern products are symmetrical

Most hand made products are not

Now think how has this influenced your life?

Has it and if so how?

Maybe with things you buy

Maybe in how you feel about yourself

If this is so then time to understand that how you feel about yourself can change how you look

Feeling happy about yourself will certainly result in your features becoming more symmetrical
And when your features are fine by you then life improves.

We all feel better when we like how we look .

Asymmetry helps us to understand where we are in life with ourselves

Nature roars

At humanity

For her abuse of nature

Expect nature to shake this planet for the foreseeable future

We have through our behaviour helped to set these forces in motion

Humans do not really like uncertainty

Humans like steady predictable conditions

However nature has decided that humanity needs to learn respect

All of us must now get used to change
So wherever you are change is coming your way

Whatever you are doing

Learn to live and accept change

If you cannot or will not then nature is unlikely to leave you alone.
Change is going to be our only constant

Watch nature roar!.

Do I have fear

First question what is fear?

What we feel when we are in danger.

What we feel if we have no home, no money

What we feel when our car goes out of control.

For most of us fear comes in several different guises.

We have cultural fears.

Our country is in danger of invasion, going to war

Family fears are when we have genetic defects in the family, mental illness problems from one generation to another,

Personal fears can be fear of losing my job, my wife, my children.

On top of these come worries about disease, cancer, diabetes, MS, ME and AIDS.

Then we have fear generated by non-stop bad news in the media.

Advertisers who deliberately create fear to sell their products.

Few if any modern humans do not have fear in some shape or form.

Many will use words like stress, pressure, worries, tension all are just other words for fear.

And which are my fears?

Often we do not know because we tend to hide those things that frighten us

Ask people who know you if they observe or know things about you that indicate that you have fear.

Do you avoid certain things, if so why?

Do you tell yourself stories about why you do not do certain things?

Do you ask others to do certain things for you?

Are you living in reality?

Are you?

Or are you living in denial of fear?

Fear has less power when you let it out and look at it.

Get at your fears it makes life more comfortable

Male values

Men move to the impractical while women tend to move to the practical

This is said to be true

Men might dispute this

But given the sorry state of world affairs

Where men predominate in positions of power

How can men dispute what they are responsible for?

Better maybe to ask what can be done to improve things

Possibly men should consider how they can move from being impracticable?

Time to consider so called male values

Values that no longer, if they ever did, reflect these difficult times

If you are male have you ever considered the values you live by?

Try it you might, just might please a lot of people.
