David and the dream machine

The riots were the result of a litany of social and cultural problems, Cameron says, blaming irresponsibility and selfishness that lead some people to behave “as if your choices have no consequences”.
.
Mr Cameron also blames
.
Children without fathers
.
Schools without discipline
.
Reward without effort
.
Crime without punishment
.
Rights without responsibilities
.
Communities without control.
.
Mending that “broken society”, Mr Cameron says, is his fundamental aim in politics.
.
"Do we have the determination to confront the slow-motion moral collapse that has taken place in parts of our country these past few generations,” he asks.
.
Do we have the determination to confront all this and turn it around?
.
“I have the very strong sense that the responsible majority of people in this country not only have that determination; they are crying out for their government to act upon it.
.
And I can assure you, I will not be found wanting.”
.
Stirring words presumably dreamt up by his spin director
.
And just where have these same politicians been these last few decades?
.
Year after year of poor policies and bad management
.
Their policies
.
Their management
.
Yet to read the above one might think that the state of the country is somehow divorced from politicians and their best efforts to destroy the place
.
So now Cameron and company are going to try and undo all the damage Labour and their own policies have caused.
.
And we should be grateful?
.
What a bunch of hypocrites!
