Vitamin - D

Just a reminder for living more comfortably through yet another winter.
.
Catch some rays whenever you can.
.
Get out in the sunlight for 10 to15 minutes a couple of times per week.
.
Do this also when the sun is not out directly, the rays are good for us.
.
This is the best way for your body to obtain vitamin D.
.
In fact, just 20 minutes of sunshine can provide you with as much as 10,000 IUs.
.
Eat foods rich in vitamin D.
.
These include small fish like herring, sardines and anchovies.
.
Organic milk from grass-fed cows is also an excellent source.
.
As are egg yolks, cooked salmon and mackerel, tuna fish and orange juice.
.
Try some cod liver oil.
.
Next to sunlight, this is the best source of vitamin D, providing 1,360 IUs in just a single teaspoon.
.
Take a good-quality vitamin D supplement. Omega 3 not 6
.
Try a 2,000 IUs via supplement daily, especially during winter months or if you’re located in a colder, damp climate with less sunlight.
.
To Your Good Health, oh and remember to exercise please.
.
One without the other is not such a good idea as exercise should be an integral part of your life.
.
It is isn't it?
