Meditators

An instructor at Harvard Medical school named Sarah Lazar scanned the brains of 20 people who meditate for 40 minutes a day.
.
These people were not Buddhist monks.
.
Just regular people who had a long history of meditating.
.
When she compared their brain images to those of non meditating people of similar ages and backgrounds, she found a highly significant difference.
.
The meditators had 5% thicker brain tissue in the parts of the pre frontal cortex that are engaged during meditation.
.
Which is to say, the parts that handle emotion, regulation, attention and working memory.
.
All of which help control stress.
.
Need I say more?

Well maybe one thought.
.
Nothing can disturb you if your mind is not working.
.
If it is still, silent.
.
It is the thoughts in your mind that cause stress and fear.
.
Stop the mind and peace reigns.
.
No thoughts, no stress, no fear.
.
Personally I find this the best space to be in as it is serene and peaceful.
.
After a short meditation every morning my days are calmer and less stressed whatever comes my way.
.
Meditate it will save you a lot of stress.
