Another marriage
Men really do get better the older they get. . When younger we are obsessed with our career, struggle with having children and have an insatiable appetite for sex. . Yes we lie to our partners. . Women are not perfect either though. . A second marriage between two older people usually brings together equals - men and women who are sexually confident, more willing to share or pool finances and have a more reflective, philosphical approach to life. . You have made a lot of mistakes so you can avoid making them the second time around. . Men's emotional intelligence definitely develops as they get older, we learn the value of being thoughtful, of putting other people first - a small gift, a surprise dinner, booking a decent not the basic hotel room when on holiday. . And women learn too, if they want to keep a man, they give him space to meet his mates, have a boys' weekend and make an effort in the bedroom - above all they learn to accept him for what he is, that he can not be changed. . He will always wear that tie you don't like, get irrationally excited over sport on television and look down your best mate's cleavage. . But women end up, if lucky, with a happy, contented husband who is by and large faithful and who will look after them and make them feel a bit special too. . Andrew Janders
True, I know plenty of women who would need to adjust, yet also plenty of men who need to do the same. Here in Germany only the younger men seem to be at ease with equality. Plenty still around in the old roles. And of course many nagging women as well. How can a man ever adapt to that ! :)
